The FARM of PAIN & DEATH!

Yes, it is true.
On my farm are poisonious serpents such as water moccasins, copperheads, and the occaisional rattlesnake, though these last are rare. (The others are common.)
Stinging poisonious insects like wasps, wild bees, yellow jackets, and hornets are all too common. My favorite are the scorpions. Fortunately, scorpions, while numerous, mostly stay hidden.
Poisonious archnids anyone? How about the brown recluse and the black widow? I've seen them both here.
Poison oak? Poison ivy? Yes, to both.
Rabid wild animals? Things like skunks, coyotes, raccoons & feral dogs? Yes, of course.
The durned ticks nearly could have killed me when they gave me tularmea earlier in the year.
The chiggers will make you itch like crazy.
Do we have dangerous farm equipment that can maim, dismember or kill if one is not careful? It could not be a farm without it!
How would you like to live some place such as I do? It really is not that bad. All the things listed above are easy to avoid and don't come looking for you. Any big city is far more dangerous. That's because the wild things in the big city are all a part of mankind, the most dangerous critters on the planet.
I say I like it fine here on my farm of pain and death.
Which do you think is more dangerous? City or country life.
What do you say?

A little of both, I like living around a city but not in it. This week I was working in Memphis, driving back and forth from Conway to Memphis. I love Conway not too big but has everything in the city to live a great life. Memphis on the other hand is just to chaotic for me. I do not mind driving on Interstate, I do it every day anyway, but there is a difference between Little Rock and Memphis. I see nothing dangerous about where you live, could actually be fun.

Actually, where I live is fun. All day long I get to drive my tractor, do assorted contrified type chores, program the computer, and play on myLot.
I listed these in the order of importance and the reverse order in which I spend my time.

A lot of these things can be found in town as well, although not in the quantity that good country living provides.
If I could get around better, I would be back in the country in a heartbeat... because town sucks.
At least this is a small town, so it could be much worse, and I don't have to look at it much more than 2 or 3 times a year when I have to renew my meds.

Yes, and the really violent animals that live in the city would never survive long here. Everyone is armed and law enforcement is sympathetic to honest citizens defending themselves. I'll take the country over the city, too.

You live in the country with all those dangerous creatures and health hazzards such as poison oak and disease carrying ticks and mosquitoes? Minus the traffic, overcrowding, crime and smog of the big cities, I think you are much safer in the country.

Saviour-V teleports in, glances at the list of hazards, and shivers inwardly...
Remind me not to stay in one place for too long. I hate to say this, but I happen to be arachnophobic. And black widows rank high on my list of creatures to avoid.
Bees and hornets? We've got some here, nothing to shout about. Scorpions, on the other hand...uhmm, thankfully, none have shown up near my country home.
Feral dogs? Well, while I also happen to fear dogs (not because of religion, but because I'm scared of being bitten), I think we only have strays that run through the neighbourhood during the night.
Of course, I think that life in the city's a bit more dangerous, since some people are out to actively cause trouble for others. Also, down here in my country home, right now...you get a pretty nice breeze, the sound of crickets in the morning, the occasional large lizard skulking through the grass...waitaminute...did I just say "lizard"?
Well, yes, those guys sometimes come through our turf. When you've got a large open space to play in, naturally, many would come. Although...we did have to get one particular lizard OUT of the house when it managed to get in somehow. My youngest brother managed to actually pick him up, and toss him out, after we cornered him in the kitchen. That was a year ago, I think.
Don't have the guts for creepy-crawlies and certain reptiles, but thankfully, the more dangerous ones don't show up much.
I like my home, really. Sure, it does get a little boring sometimes, but it's relaxing, which is more than I can say for my old home in the city of Subang Jaya.
Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...

Ah... the joys of country living out weigh the joys of living in the big city around the world, no matter what country!
