Friend in the finals of short story contest

My friend, the one who actually talked me into trying writing in the first place, is in the finals for the short story contest. She's already placed in the top three for two of the other contest, so she'll have two stories in the anthrology. I think this is very cool!

I think she's very good. She's been writing for a few years now and has grown considerably. She has entered all the contest and will be entering the next one as far as I know. People like her are the reason I may never win...lol.

Or, people like her may be the reason you win someday. Having to compete with writers like her can only make you a better one. Keep trying, you just might get there. Makes me want to enter but I know I can't write a good short story...

My friend didn't make the top three, but she did get fourth place. I'm sure she'll enter again. I'm still waiting on my crit and then I'll do my story for this time. You should enter. I bet you could write a story!
