I am sure that everyone has gotten a chain letter in their e-mail. It is defined in Wikipedia as "a typical letter or e-mail that consists of a message that attempts to induce the recipient to make a number of copies of the letter and then pass them on to as many recipients as possible. Common methods used in chain letters include emotionally manipulative stories, get-rich-quick pyramid schemes, and the exploitation of superstition to threaten the recipient with bad luck or even physical violence or death if he or she "breaks the chain" and refuses to adhere to the conditions set out in the letter."If the chain letter you got contained the warning "pass it to 10 of your friends to receive good luck in 3 days. if you break the chain you will get bad luck in 1 year"Would you believe it? Will you pass it to your friends or delete the message right away believing no harm will come to you? I would like to think of the latter so I do not pass it on.

Same here. And you knoew what? None of those warnings that I was threatened with if I break the chain never happened. So I also have to believe that if I were to pass it on to ten friends, I would not get the good luck either.

well i certainly do not believe in chain letters. in fact, i never forward any that i have received. if i feel that the content is interest, i'll pass it on to my friends after deleting the part about the chain. i feel that it's really funny that people will actually count the number of people to pass it on. guess to some it's a rather-believe thing but i definitely love to be the one breaking the chain. cheers ;p

no.. i do not believe in chain letters / e-mail warnings.. they are all scams, and fake... if i got messages like this, it goes straight to the trash.. i do not send to my friends, because i do not want to fill their inboxes with spam or scam.. i haven't gotten messages like this, but the messages came from those people that i do not know.. so i just delete the messages...

You are right; most of us will have gotten a chain letter at one time or another. I find most of them offensive or ridiculous and I often wonder who believes in this and who starts it and for what purpose. Apart from the money grabbing pyramid schemes who benefits from the emotionally charged type of chain letter?
