Getting tickets for your winnings on the slot machines

I'm sure plenty of you remember the good ol' days when you got actual coins out of the slot machines instead of the tickets that you pretty much always get now. When you would get the coins, you always had buckets to put them in so it wasn't such a hassle to have all these loose coins. And, the machines would take the coins back so you didn't always have to get them turned into bills. Now that we always get tickets though, and the machines don't take coins, it seems like I always have a ton of change on me and no bills left. I think I came home with about $5 in change from the slot machines. I did figure out how to get around this though. I'd save my tickets that had change on them and put them all into one machine then cash it out right away. This was great when I had a ticket with like 75 cents and another one with 30 cents. I'd put them in and I would only be left with a nickle. Do you do this too or do you cash them in seperately and get all that change back?

I miss the days of the coins, the ching chang sound made it really exciting. I was in Atlantic City, last month, and the atmosphere was really different, so quiet. Unfortunately I didn't have anything to cash out. These tickets have replaced many jobs. It is even hard to get an attendant to come to your machine. Now, when the machines are full, instead of an attendant coming to refill it, they shut the machine down until the next day. That smells

Oh I used to love that tinny sound when the coins came out. I mean, it's a mechanical tinny sound now, but it's so not the same. I remember the first time I got a ticket I was so disappointed.

Most the higer end slots like $1, $5, and up machines still drop the coins out so you can still get the ching ching sound. It'll just cost you more to hear it now. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I don't usually play the higher ones, I don't have enough money to start with. I think next time I'll take a peek at the $1 and $5 to see what that looks like (it's been a long time!)

I LOVE ticket-in/ticket-out!!! I don't save up a bunch of tickets. I'll just stick it in the next machine... and the next... until I'm ready to cash it in. Then I only have the change from one ticket, instead of several.

That's usually what I do too, but we were cashing out our "big" winnings on some free play money so I had more than one ticket at a time. Every time we got a bit of winnings we'd cash it out and keep playing. We had a $106.00, $58.10 and $138.95 or something like that. That was way too much fun for me :)

Money left over? After a trip to the casino? Hmmmm? I seldom have that happen. But as far as the paper machines I love them hnow. One doesn't have to wait to be paid on jackpots of a lesser amount. One doesn't have to wait for a machine to be refilled with coins as it runs out half way through cashing oput. I ALWAYS TOSS THE SMALL AMOUNTED TICKETS INTO THE SAME MACHINE. oR i JUST CASH THEM INTO ONE MACHINE FOR THE ONE TICKET TO CASH IN THE BOOTH OR MACHINES. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I usually don't either, but my husband thinks the object of the game is to see how much you can go home with... I just don't get that!

A favorite of mine to play. - Slot machine game that I enjoy playing.
Oh the good ole days. I am rather happy though that they changed this, as I hated more than anything leaving a machine with black fingertips from scraping the coins up, yuck! I would avoid wearing light colored clothes as I would alwasy seem to end up with these fingerprint lookin marks on me..lol. I cash in the tickets and take home the change, or in most cases i try to play the amoutn on the machine to an even dollar amount. If I am on a nickle machine and my credits equal 5.20 i will pay the .20 cents off first...not always but sometimes.

I always carried the wet naps with me, and a lot of times they'd be by the machines anyways. I hated getting it on my face or something if you accidentally touched yourself. I also try to play down the change and just cash out for an even dollar amount. It makes it so much easier!
