SADAM'S GUILTY VERDICT-AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH VERDICT AND SENTANCE

As you may or may not know, Sadam Hussein was convicted this morning. He has been sentenced to hang for his heinous crimes against humanity in the 1982 killings of 148 people. He remained defiant until the very end. Do you agree with the verdict and sentancing? Should the trial have taken so long? What are your thoughts and or feelings on the matter. Personally, I am glad it is over. I feel that all the postponements due to Sadam's "bad" behavior were a joke, and mocked the political system. I hope that he doesn't use the same diverting tactics to extend his ultimate sentence.

ironic - another saddam discussion! i'm glad the entire thing is over, however, i am a bit disappointed in his sentence. i feel that ending his life is too easy for him. the man killed 148 human beings (if not more) and ending his life is far too gentle of a sentence. the man should be locked in isolation for the rest of his miserable life without any human contact, just to sit and meditate on his actions.

I agree with the verdict. I say what goes around comes around. I'm glad they were able to make this decision.

I am glad they were able to reach a guilty verdict. My regret now is that Saddam and his lawyers have the right to an appeal, and the appealic court, may be intimidated enough to let him get away with his crimes against humanity.
