Do you cry when they have to withdraw some blood from you?

I always go to the hospital for my check-ups and I got used to syringes, needles and whatever it is. I've had bone marrow biopsy which they've taken some marrow from my pelvic bone if i'm not wrong about it. It kinda hurt but I didn't cry, anyway, there was anesthesia. I still felt some pinching in my muscles and I just squeezed the mattress of the bed when they got it. I'm usually hospitalized so I'm used to it. I still feel fear sometimes but I don't cry over it and don't ask anyone to accompany me except for bone marrow aspiration or biopsy. So are you afraid of needles or syringes? DO you cry when they'd withdraw some blood from you?

Me and needles do not mix. I don't cry but I turn pale white and get cold and clammy. I can't look at a needle and don't like to see blood. I cannot look at all. Not even in a movie - I can't stand it. I don't care if they are taking blood or giving me a shot there is no way I am looking at it. I usually claw up my hand while they are doing it to take my mind off of it.

No, I don't cry when I get my blood drawn. I have had so many needles from when I was pregnant. I had gestational diabetes with my four pregnancies so they had to routinely draw blood to check my glucose levels. I would have to get 4 hour glucose tolerance tests, where they would draw my blood fasting, and then every hour on the hour after I ate a meal for four hours. That sucked as I would come home with a bruised arm or hand from all the needle sticks. Also, I had 4 cesarian sections to have my children so I had spinal taps, epidurals, and catheders, etc. That is besides the operation. And then the dentist to have fillings. So, I am experienced at it. I don't like it but I don't cry either. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Dear friend, As far as possible I do not want to cry and very very rarely I had cried that too when I was a kid and moreover I had to take regular blood test when haemoglobin was bit low and after that, may be since 9 years I hardly had any blood tests. May be some injuries has occured.

Needles don't bother me, so when a doctor or nurse has to draw blood or give me a shot, it's no big deal to me. I've seen male Marines in line for shots at the dispensary that have fallen to the floor at the first site of the needle.

I am used to needles and syringes, because I have had pregnancy diabetics. But when I go for a checkup I dont cry but I cant look either. I always look at something else in the room instead of the nurse, saying: Thats not my job, thats yours!

As a child I spent quite a bit of time at doctors and in hospitals. So no I don't cry. And I didn't then either as I recall. I do however feel it when they take it from my child. I think I have a better chance of weeping for her.

I don't cry but what kills me is the anticipation of seeing the needle coming and then feeling the pain of it sticking into you. I think the anticiaption is the hurtful thing, not the sticking. I used to get a lot of these from my dentist. Recently I had a series of blood tests. Its awful, the needle.

No. I don't cry when the need to draw blood from me. In fact, I have to look at where the needle is going, or I get a shock and jerk. Unless of course, the are trying to puncture my butt. I know my uncle refuse to have his blood drawn to check his genes for his baby or something like that and he refused. My aunt often made fun of him.

even though i am a nurse i do not want to be injected or aspirated by blood or some fluids in my body..hehehe but i do not cry..i just say to the medical technologist that i do not like it because it hurts but they do not take me seriously.. maybe because they know that i am a nurse and we are used in giving injection so we should also be used to having ones..duh! hahahaha i really do not want to be injected..

I don't because I already knew that the pain so my body is prepared to bear that. I also donated the blood and at that time i find no pain unless it is enough blood to go outside. I took the fruit and other stuff . I felt normally.
