I have some suggestions for MyLot!

And would like your input. But first, if I have suggestions, is there a place on mylot where we, the mere users, can suggest things that would make the site more appealing or interesting? My ideas are:
1. It would be nice to know if someone had read a PM that has been sent. ie. read or received flag on messages sent.
2. Discussion of the month competition. Not sure how this would work, but voting on nominations might be a start and, yes, I understand that this could entail a lot of admin, but it could be automated with a bit of thought. Then perhaps the originator of the discussion could be rewarded with $10 or something. I think this would encourage people to generate better quality discussions and some of the dross might go away.
What do you think?

It would be quite a good idea,the best was nomination part. Number of responses aren't just enough to judge if they are good. This could even be done on weekly basis with prize of say may be 3 dollars.First admins can suggest some say around 100 or 50 discussions from previous week and then members vote for a week(they may again get some credit for voting ). One important thing ,a sort of twist that friends can't vote that would be exciting

Your suggestion is quite interesting, just depend on the admin if they going to have that kind of comptetion, im sure lots of nice and new ideas come out into discussions.That's very encouraging, $10 is not enough hehehehe little bit higher must be more encouraging, hope you like my comment.happy myloting. cheers!

sound like a good idea! i especially like the discussion of the month thing, whlie you are at it, an you make them let us post jokes!

I think they are of the opinion that jokes are copied and pasted, as you know, a big nono! Although I myself love jokes and have a plethora of them on my hard drive. Its not original is it?! Maybe you can incorporate the jokes within a response, get them in that way. Anyway thanks for your response.
