How many of you hate getting older?

November 5, 2006 12:38pm CST
I am now in my thirties and i love it, a lot happier and more contented in myself now than when i was younger. Now that i am older i am who i am and i do not have to proove myself to anyone. Is this just me?

I liked being 23, I was still young enough to act like a fool and get away with it. I loved 30 because then I had a little bit of knowledge and respect. As 40 creeps upon me in the next few months, I am horrified.

I agree. I am 24, married with a daughter. I couldn't be happier. It is nice not having to be in with the popular people in school. I am glad to be away from that

I'm in my upper 20's and I'm not happy with my 30's rapidly approaching. I have been told by many of my friends in their 30's that they love being in their 30's more than they did in their 20's. I hope I feel this way once I reach my 30's. I don't know why I'm so unhappy with it. I guess I see my 20's as my "youthfullness" and I'm afraid that once I reach my 30's I'll lose some of that youthfullness. I have 3 kids, so I guess I've lost some of that already LOL.

I am content where I am in this stage of life (35). I was not happy in my twenties (married young divorced after 5 years struggled to regroup). Now I am happy and content.

I didn't write this but if it fits use it! I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN & proud of it - I'm the life of the party...even when it lasts until 8 p.m. I'm very good at opening childproof caps with a hammer. I'm usually interested in going home before I get to where I am going. I'm the first one to find the bathroom wherever I go. I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up. I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a word you're saying. I'm very good at telling stories...over and over and over and over. I'm aware that other people's grandchildren are not as bright as mine. I'm not grouchy, I just don't like traffic, waiting, crowds, children, politicians... I'm sure everything I can't find is in a secure place. I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg. I'm having trouble remembering simplewordslike...uhhhh...ummmm I'm realizing that aging is not for sissies. If you are what you eat, I'm Shredded Wheat and All Bran. I'm sure they are making adults much younger these days. I'm wondering, if you're only as old as you feel, how could I be alive at 150? I'm supporting all movements now...by eating bran, prunes, and raisins. I'm a walking storeroom of facts...I've just lost the storeroom. I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN...and I think I am having the time of my life!!

I really enjoyed my early thirties, 33 being the best. Just hit 40 and that really scared the pants off me. You seem to wake up one day and bits of your body have dropped or drooped should i say! But i'm still young at heart!
