I'm having issues with paypal

As many of you know, I am trying to get to New Zealand to a conference. I found a great website called Microgiving.com. They verify people's needs and then post a request for other people, who are also involved in the website, to give money to you. It's called micro-philanthropy. I like the idea and so signed up for the website. The website requires you to send them one penny from your paypal account in order to verify that you are a real person and not a computer spamming robot. Geeks are so smart you would think they have better things to do with their time than creating these kind of difficulties for the average person. I don't have a bank account registered on paypal. I use it with my debit card but the debit card won't let me transfer the one cent, it's too low of a number. Mind you my debit card is fine when I use it for bigger purchases. What to do, what to do?

So you have no funds in your PayPal account at all to send the penny?
If that's all you need, I'll send it to you (if it'll do a transfer that low).

Yes, that's all I need according to the website. So, if you want to paypal me I'll be grateful. Do you want my e-mail address? Which is martina_robinson@hotmail.com. Thank you so much. I never realized this could be a problem.

Dear Friend,
You are kind to send me money but paypal charged a 5 cent fee so no money got to me. I don't know what's going on. I think if maybe you send a dollar it will be okay. Did you transfer the money directly from your paypal account to mine? Or did you try to use your card? Because I wasn't aware that they charged a fee for transferring from paypal to paypal. Thank you for all your efforts.

i guess theres a certain minimum on withdrawals on debit card..here in our country i guess a hundred pesos atleast so maybe instead of of 1 cent you must transfer a dollar? or depending on your currency and allowable withdrawal or transfer..on banks..
