are you living your dream? or are you at least on the right track?

i've always wanted to be an animator but as with a lot of people, i opted for stability/security and went for a job in a bank after i graduated. to be honest, i wasn't even sure about what i wanted to do just yet, but the job sort of fell into my lap. this year i finally quit my job. while i was only contemplating my resignation, my parents keep telling me to apply for a job at a different bank, but i didn't feel like i wanted a bank job again. so, i told my parents that i i would instead like to study or take time to hone my design skills. i'm happy that they are supportive of my decision (although my dad sometimes forgets what we talked about and would tell me to apply for a job at some company lol) this coming october, i'm finally going to "formally" learn 3D computer animation, something i've always wanted to do for a long time. i know i'm not quite there yet, but at least i'm taking steps and working towards fulfilling my dream. if it doesn't work out, i don't think i would regret it, because at least i tried. actually there are quite a few things that i'd wanted to do but was just too "safe" to try, and now i regret not trying them. what about you? would you say that you're living your dream right now? if not, are you at least on the right track?

hi there...right now, i am not sure... of everything... you know, i have been lowered down by several pegs. i thought my design skills were 7 to 8 out of them. i recently met someone who's uberly talented...as in! i now can quantify myself to only 5. wah.... well, i got so much to learn, you know... just like you i am interested in this field... and i want to be also hone my skills... i just have been a jill of trades, master of none, kinda type of person. i wish i can be a savant on something..you know... but i should not complain... hehehe... happy mylotting!

i kinda know how you feel. a lot of times i feel like my skills are just mediocre, but i guess that's why i'm taking classes, so i can improve and be better or even the best. don't give up!

Good. You may go ahead towards your dream. This is enviable! When I was a student,I hadn't known what's my interest. But when I took up my job and I knew what's my dream, how difficult it is to change the life track. So I think whatever the result is, this process of working hard is remarkable. Wish you realize your dream!

hi there...it's great to be a dreamer yet a realist too... this means, it will be easier to deal with hopes and goals and yet have enough resources for food, shelter and other necessities. i have seen so many people, risking it all to pursue something and just end up losing what they got... that's a sad story. there should be a balance in everything. happy mylotting...
