What is the best food for diet people?

Someone says to me that if I want to have a diet. Tofu is good. Because It has lots of protein. Give me some advices of Good food for diet. Share it to us. Thank you.

Soy-based products like tofu have lots of pesticides, as the soy bean farms are among the highest users of pesticide. So be careful of that. Rather than dieting, exercise is a better way to lose weight. Coupled with a good diet that has essential nutrients that your body needs, that is the most important.

interesting topic. I agree that high-protein diet is good for weight loss. Most people seem to be concerned with gaining too much weight. It seems tofu is fine until one has arthritis. I think it is "bean-type" foods that are also with lots of uric acid (if I am right.) Other recommended protein sources are white-meat - chicken and fish. Vegetarians also recommend mushrooms, dark-green leafy vegetables etc. Finally, it seems drinking lots of water in between meals and right before and right after meals is good. This emphasizes avoiding drinking fluids during eating - causes the loss of feeling of being full :) hope to hear views. Cheers :)
