Now, the region is waiting. Gustav’s eye is arriving by midday at Houma, a low-lying town on the central coast of Louisiana. I certainly hope the region is better prepared this time around. Do you know anyone in that area. Did they evacuate? Just wanted to send well wishes and prayers to families there.

My mother in law is down in Florida and even there she's getting some wind from Gustav. Not as bad as she was expecting. No, she isn't evacuating. I have other relatives in law over in Texas, but fortunately no one directly in Louisiana.

Yes,I do fell so bad for all those that are beeing affected by this hurricane. I do think that they are a lot more prepared this time. Everyone has been evacuated, I live in Arkansas, we have so many people here from texas and lousiana, they are putting them up everywhere here. The wy it looks it will not be as bad as they thought it would be, and that is great, but I am very glad that all of these people did listen this time and did evacuate. I do happen to have about 5 friends that live right in these areas where it is hitting right now, and yes they too did evacuate. My prayers are withall of these people.
