I am sitting here in front of my computer today because MyHusband asked me where I would like to sit and I said,at the computer,so he carried me from my tub, toweled me off, helped me get dresses, brush my teeth, ect and carried me here. It's these storms(I live in Florida) that are causing this. My legs won't carry me.Does anyone know how to kill a storm? cause right now,I really want to!!!!!Yesterday by the end of the day, well my end of the day was around 2 pm. I could barely atey awake my body didn't want me to control it. I almost fell out of my chair without even knowing it. It feels like I'm on so many downers(but ireally don't do drugs) that I can't hold my head up or control my body in any way. Does anyone else out there have fibro? and are you in Florida being controlled by the storms? I changed my avatar today because I though maybe the flowery happy face would change my depressive mood, but it didn't. The friends on My Lot changed my mood. Reading about funny stuff and answering questions I could very well relate too

I am fortunate that my fibro seems more affected by what I do than the weather, but we don't get many hurricanes in Central Texas. Hot and cold seem to affect me some, in different targets, like my back is cold my chest is heat. Right now they all seem to be going off because of the surgery last week.

At least I'm able to walk around by myself. If I had a fellow like yours I'd be thrilled to be married!

Mine is effected by what I do to but also the barometer effects it and the cold. But when we get these storms I have some really bad fibro flairs. I'm trying to deal with it. and hello to my fellow fibromite and good luck with yours!

I have been told I have fibromyalgia. I have migrain headaches, IBS and all of the related aches and pains but my PCP recently found some vitamin deficiencies. Have you ever been checked for those? I'm anxious to see if that is a cause or a symptom. I have definately felt better after taking the supplements I need but it is too soon to tell if the fibromyalgia is still there. I'm just wondering how many Fibro patient have deficiencies or even get checked for them.

Hi, FreeFogging. I see you are in Hawthorne. We're in Orlando, so just got lots of rain. And getting quite a bit at the moment (Tuesday 12:00 pm). The barometric pressure does have an effect on FMS. Because we have too-thick and slowly-moving serous fluid (lymph, saliva, interstitial fluid, etc), we feel the pressure change. It's like it's trapped in a barometer, but all over our body. You can read www.FibroFix.com to understand the treatment method we are on. If you have some expectorant and decongestant (guaifenesin and phenylephrine) at home, and it's ok for you to take it, you might give it a try. If you are acidic (do you get heartburn?) you can try reducing acid with TUMS. Could be quick relief for you. Annie

I like the new smiley face avatar it is cute! Very happy looking! I am sorry that the storms are effecting you this way. I am glad that you have a nice strong husband that can carry you where ever you want to go in the house! My sister in law Has fibro also. She takes a Hot showere as soon as she gets up everyday to help her to move around. I have a lot of aches and pains I sometimes wonder if I have it or if I am getting it. But I can walk. so my pain seems like it is a lot less then yours! I hope that your storms will leave soon and you will feel better!

I can say your avatar really got my attention, very loud, I don't know why it didn't brighten your day it did mine, it is cloudy here but nice, I have the windows up and a little breeze is coming thru..I don't have fibro, and I am sorry to hear that you do, but think about it how many of us get a chance to get dried off, picked up and carried around. . I hope you feel better..Have a wonderful day.
