And I am getting so anxious about it. Not that I think it will be a hard job but it will mean changes in my life. I will be working out of town again and I have not done that for the past 10 years so I am kind of anxious if my daughter would get sick at school (she has two diseases that involve her stomach) and would need to come home. I suppose Gramdparents to the rescue.
Just nervous. Anyone have any first day at work tips to share??
Thanks.

You will be fine, you just need to go in there with lots of confidence and wow everyone in the room!
And i'm sure that your daughter will be fine as well. I don't know how old she is, but I'm sure she wont mind her grandparents looking after her just until you come home.
Good luck with the new job, I hope you do well!!

You are lucky to have grandparents for the rescue, and fortunate to have a job.
I at this time wished I could trade places with you and have a job.
I am sure you considered all angles before you accepted this job, and did not see anything that would make you not accept it.
Of course there will be worries, but I am sure everything will work out just fine. Again, you have people you can trust if there is any cause for alarm.
Congratulations on your new job, and good luck.

Congratulations on getting the job!
Anyway, being nervous is normal and there's really no helping it. Just take deep breathes, stop thinking in the negative (because that'll cause too much anxiety and your nervousness will increase) and try to greet everyone so that you can familiarize yourself not just with your surroundings, but with the people you'll work with. New environment means new personalities after all, and it's better to get to know them at the start. Think about all the good things this new job will provide you in the future so you'll be motivated everyday to do your best. :)
And I'm sorry your daughter's having stomach problems. If the grandparents aren't busy, it'll be best to ask for help, yes. You can always count on your family, after all.
Good luck!
