Polling: Blade Vs Underworld, which do you vote?

Hi Mylotters... I just watched Underworld Evolution lately, and I don't quite like that movie. Its previous sequel Underworld, is not quite my fave but I like it better than the Evolution one. Now I would like to compare all sequels of the Underworld versus all sequels of Blade. Which do you vote? I will count on the votes at the end of the discussion and I will see which one is best. I'd like to compare them because they are almost of the same theme, related with vampires. The result of this polling will be used for my newest review. So, give out your vote and explain why do you vote for it.
As for me, I will vote for Blade 
since I like all the sequels from Blade I, Blade II and Blade Trinity. I think that Blade is very much more interesting from the plot, action, and the idea of the story. Each sequel presents a unique story and not to be bothered to have much connection with one sequel to the other. Whereas in Underworld, you'll be missing some things if you jump off to Underworld Evolution. Overall, the story is of Blade is easier to digest than Underworld. So that makes 1 vote for Blade from me. Thanks and happy voting!

Blade, no question. The man is a hybrid, and a kick @$$ one at that. He has all of strength of a vampire, with none of the weaknesses. He does not have to drink human blood like other vampires do. Blade is awesome.

Well yes, he uses a serum to control his blood thrist, but at least he fought against it with Whistler's help. To me, what makes Blade so awesome is that he is a part of them, but he is out to kill each and every one of them for all of the pain that one vampire caused him.

Actually if you look back into the 1st blade movie he uses a serum to relieve the thirst because when whistler found him he was drinking blood. But I have to admit blade 1 he is a kick @ss Dhampire.

really hard decision it's like asking to compare apples to oranges the similarities are that they are both vampire movies. Unfortunately that is where they end. Blade is an all around save the world from vampires where underworld is about finding a balance between the vampires and the were's Because they were once united and now are divided. I think a more acurate comparison would be blade to Vanhelsing. because it's all about the slaying. But I love them both I really didn't care for blade II it wasn't as good as the first one. Sorry this probably didn't help you much.

hehe sorry I didn't see your post before posting but I agree with you! They just really aren't the same kind of movie... I just think its unfair to one or the other to be judging them together lols

From the story point of view I agree that they are both different. But I really want to write a comparison review about this two. Thanks for posting anyway...:)
Your welcome and thanks for the topic of two movies that I actually love to watch. But how can you write a comparison review when they are totally different? You can't compare apples to oranges. So how to you compare something that is so totally different and in completely different categories. Because if you really must Blade is based on a Dhampire who is hunting the vampires and taking them out. While Kate Beckinsale's character is trying to find out the truth about the vampire and were fued along with trying to find the balance.

I vote for Blade.. I like both movies and both stories are good.. but I like most Blade because the action, the known actors and the fun involved.. So, my vote is for Blade

Underworld for sure I love Kate Beckinsale, I have only seen part of one of the blade movies though so.

Well, it is really impossible to compare trilogies just yet, since the third Underworld is not out yet. It is going to come out, but then again it is also going to be a prequel so it is yet again sort of hard to compare; in a way.
Blade 1 vs Underworld - Blade ends up coming across as more hardcore and dark, thus has an edge over Underworld which saps into a almost teen geared romance plot.
Round 1 - BLADE
Blade 2 vs Underworld 2 - Under world 2 really muddled the plot and tried to get too smart for its own good, yet it was still better for me than Blade 2.
Round 2 - Underworld 2
Blade 3 vs Underworld 3 - cannot compare yet.
So, it's a tie.

You are right about Blade each one of the sequels are easy to follow if you mess one of them. But one thing that Blade does not deal with and that is werewolves. That is something that they didn't bring into that story line. To a degree it's good that they didn't cause when it comes to the Underworld it covers both Vamp's and Wolves. I have watched all of those movies and the Evolutions is taking a step were no Vamp movie or Werewolf movie has gone before. This is the first time that they had one person that was both and had both strength. That is new on the seen of these types of movies. The story line is a little funny with the being in the family and all but they try to cover all of the loop holes that could be left out of the movie. Now what I would like to know is what they will do now with Underworld, will there be more family members that they have not met yet that are stronger that both of them. Where as Blade will continue with him and his crew, will they add a twist to the next one. That is the difference to me.

I vote for Underworld mostly because Kate Beckinsale is hot. I'm not really sure I can be a good judge on how great the plot and all that was because seriously, with Kate Beckinsale in tight leather... how can you pay attention to other things?

I liked the acting in underworld much better. The action is a little less I have to admit, but the story is much more original. Blade really isn't the same concept.. its more vampire slayer than vampire vs. werewolf. I don't think the two should really be compared but my vote is definably for underworld! I thought that movie was hot =D
