copying scanned documents to microsoft word

this discussion is for all the students who are lazy enough to do their homeworks. i would say "use the technology". if you have something to copy in a book or a reference without typing it to just put into the microsoft word, try to scan it first then save it into a .tiff file. open it to into the program called Microsoft Office Document Imaging. after opening, highlight the texts into your opened file, right click and copy. a dialog box will appear saying "recognizing OCR". after the computer finishes to recognize your text, you can already paste it into your new document...try it now! hope it can help... feel free to comment

Hmmm.. well, you can use ABBY.. It copies the file on your text book into real text. But, the weakness is, is that it can't copy some word. For example in Algebra, when you use ABBY, your document will be in a whole mess.. Hehe,

Hmmm why not use the scanners OCR software and scan it into a text document and then open the document up in word, and just edit a few lines this sound a lot easier than what you suggest
