Worst Illnes Ever!

I feel really bad today cause I am currently suffering from a very very very rough dry cough. This cough has been going on for five days now and my throat feels like their going to split apart. I keep on reminding my parents to buy me medicine but they always forget, so I ended up using the cough medicine of my grandmother. My cough is still going on and there is no more medicine, so I am reminding my parents again to buy me anything that will soothe my cough, but they haven't bought anything. I feel really really bad because I am suffering from this cough every freakin day and night, this cough is the reason I stay up till dawn cause this is avoiding me from sleeping, I tried drinking warm glass of milk so that I could fall asleep quickly, but it doesn't work, I didn't go to the doctor yet cause I don't have money to pay for the bill, I am still waiting for my parents. Whenever I swallow something, even my saliva, there seems to be something blocking my throat, it's really painful whenever I swallow, I don't know what this is. I hope it's something bad so that my parents will know how they have neglected me.. =( (I just feel really really depressed right now..) Does anyone know of a remedy to ease this pain? What was your worst illness?
