I had the ultimate dream of joining one of the armed forces as a child! The reason for this was that my brother went into the Royal Marines and I wanted to follow suit! Unfortunately I never achieved that as I was told at the enrolment office that I would not be suitable due to my Asthma. I have had my Asthma all my life, since the age of three and it has affected my dreams in a big way! I have been looking and searching for a long time as to what I could do instead of joining the armed services. The word is computers! I think that I have finally found my niche after all these years! I recently took a course in Computer Maintenance and Installation and I completed the course in June of this year. I'm now studying hard to take my exams in October. I love computers and I guess this is a worth while compensation for not being able to join the Royal Marines. My only dream now I guess is to pass those exams in October and then I can decide what I am going to do next. I will create another dream I guess!! Andrew

Hi. Are you happy now despite all unfulfilled dreams? I dreamed of being a stage actress, a journalist, a writer, a singer, a beauty queen, a talk show host. I also dreamed of marrying Superman actor, the late Christopher Reeves. Later in life, i began to dream more realistically. I dreamed of owning a car, a house, the latest laptop and cellphone models, traveling Europe, meeting my prince charming, have a happy family, and world peace. I guess all our dreams, childhood dreams boil down into one, and that is a dream of joy, love and happiness. Well, at least i got two dreams come true. I married the man of my dreams, we have two beautiful sons, and we are happy. We hope to tour Europe someday. We hope to share as a family the message of peace and love to the world. Happiness to you!

I have a lot of dreams before. I have achieved some of them and I am trying my best to achieve more as possible. I'm currently working on it. Well, I dreamed of taking up a certain major in university and I accomplished it well. Kudos.

Well honestly I haven't achieved yet what I have dreamed of but I'm doing all that I can to achieve it. I've been working hard on it and hopefully I could achieve it sooner. I hope that even though we don't achieve all our dreams, we could be happy because there would be something better.

I haven't achieved most of the things i dreamed for.In my childhood i wanted to be a policeman in my future but that didnt happen but i am happy about the way my life is going.I got good job and i have productive habits like book reading, blogging. So i think we should not be disppointed if our childhood habits went wrong and many other alternatives are there in our life to lead a happy life.

hi graceandowen, when i was still a child, i always want to be an astronaut. i like their appearance. they look so cool and big. you know, they wear a special costume which makes them look bigger than normal well, that doesn't happen to me. my second child dream is being an author. i like reading books, any kind of books available around me. i always respect and admire who made such wonderful works. i think it will be great if i become one of them. i dream of my work being read by thousands of people. well, that haven't happened yet.

Hey gracean, when I was young I wanted to be a nurse! I did eventually work for doctors at least. I was a medical secretary/assistant. That's about as close as I came! I didn't fulfil any of my real dreams I'm ashamed to say. I didn't have any children, but I'm not sorry exactly because the way my life turned out it was for the best. My mom is disappointed because she has no grandchildren. I don't really remember the rest of my dreams. It was such a long time ago. I didn't grow up to marry the prince and be rich and live happily ever after either. Oh, well I don't know anyone else who did!

My dreams were fulfilled only they camein different packages. I dreamt to be able to become a doctor but I became instead someone in the health allied courses too. I dreamt of my knight in shining armor to be tall and dark but he was even better. I dreamt of a big family and He gave me a big family through my nieces and nephews and grandkids. We must learn how to appreciate what we have and see them for the dreams that we had aspired for. Happiness is wanting what we have instead of having what we want. Cheers.
