Were you ever once a Hippie?

Did you ever paint your face with flowers, or wear beads, paisly shirts, and bell bottoms? How about smoking that "wacky-tabacky"?
I can remember the '60's. Oh gee...I guess I wasn't really there then?
To me, the Hippie movement revolutionized society as a whole, and paved the way for today's acceptance of all sorts of things. (Maybe too much?)
I actually miss it in a way. People seemed to be a lot more friendly back then.
There wasn't ONE bad song on the radio either. (Radio? What's that?)
We had fun with just the fact of being alive....scared the dickens out of our parents, but generally had an all-round good time.
I think we should bring the Hippie era back. What do you say?

I wish I could have been there, nowadays all of the teenagers are depressed and.. "emo" But that sounds like a load of fun.
Oh, you're that Johnny Depp guy aren't you!

Hey there Sheepie...
Yup...that Johnny Depp.
You are so right. I don't know what we baby-boomers did when our children were born, but "something" got lost in the translation.
Maybe it's me? Teenagers today have far more going for them than we ever did.
We had to "fight" for equal rights...the rights that All of us share today, and possibly take for granted that they've always been there.
Sure, we had our badder moments. Each generation does. But PEACE was the order of the day...and LOVE for your fellow man was the way in which to achieve it.
We could use a little more love and peace today, don't you think?
