my grandmother made a chocolate cake w/real fudge icing. i wish she was still here to that & for alot more reasons. she was a wonderful cook.

If you consider strawberry shortcake as cake, that would be my favorite. I love fresh strawberries on hot out of the oven shortcake topped with whipped cream.
My favorite regular cake is yellow cake. I think that yellow is moister than white or chocolate. It does have to have lots of chocolate frosting on it!

I don't eat cake very often, but my favorite is a Mexican Wedding cake/Swedish pineapple cake. It goes by both names. It has lots of crushed pineapple and walnuts in it with a cream cheese frosting on top. YUM! I have not had one in a long time. This discussion makes me want to make one. I think I have everything to make it too.

Thank you for sharing your favorite type of cake when you do eat and if I am right that is the exact cake my mother always made and is her favorite and has a great taste to it.

I really love the chocolate mousse cake!!!it's very yummy specially when you eat it, it melts on your mouth!!!(the one kind of chocolate mousse cake that like an ice cream and it's chocolate is melting!!!i really love it!!!and ofcourse i love also the ube cake by red ribbon!!!yum!yum!

Thank you for your response and for sharing your favs.. Red Velvet cake is really good as well that is what I served for the baby shower I had for my family and my cousin made it from scratch it is great.
