Hey everyone. I'm just wondering how many of you have ever tried veggie dogs? I had some in the refrigerator (I'm vegetarian) and my grandmother ate them when she came over. She didn't bother to read the package. SHe thought they were real hot dogs and didn't even know the difference!
Certain kinds are not so great, but there is a frozen brand -- Morningstar Farms -- which is delicious and healthier than a regular meat frank. If you are looking for a healthier choice or are vegetarian and would like to grill some outside at the next BBQ, you ought to try that brand.
How many of you have ever tried veggie dogs and veggie burgers? Some brands are great!

I've tried some veggie meat. They're ok. Although there are some that feels like rubber. Hehehehehe. Try carrot patty for burgers. I love them. They taste good mibus the rubbery texture. @Bethany1202 (3431)

I've never seen carrot patties in the supermarket. my mom makes them. Maybe you can try to make them if you have time. Just use a kitchen rasp and queeze out the excess juice from the carrots (can be used as carrot juice to go with your burger
), add some flour and eggs (just do your own ratio here), and fry. The carrot patty can take the place of a regular meat burger patty.

Wow, that sounds good and not too difficult. I will def have to try it, thanks for the recipe... Sounds a little like potato pancakes my mom used to make, but with carrots instead! :)

Morningstar Farms are the best. I love all their products and pig out on them when I'm in America. I love most veggie products. Some are better than others. I've tried almost all that are available in my country.

Yeah Morningstar Farms are great and I am glad they are producing more vegan products. (I'm not vegan but prefer it when I can get it.) MSF uses lots of eggs in their non-vegan products, so I think that's one negative point, but you really can't beat the flavor and texture!

I have never tried veggie dogs, but always wanted to. I have had many different veggie burgers and stuff, and those were pretty good. And I love morningstar farms products.

Yes, they're great, but many products from them contain egg, which I try to avoid for the most part. However, lately they've been coming out with more vegan products, which I prefer although I am not a vegan.
