...I don't even watch mainstream news because most of it is painful for me to watch.
But this lady, from that clip of her interview with one of the McCain campaign's folks, was actually doing her job as I'd expect a journalist. Asking questions which, if answered could actually help people decide one way or another how to feel about something (instead of asking irrelevant silly things, which has been something of a trend throughout political coverage)...unless of course, they didn't have an answer -- anyway, it seems...I don't know, weird how easily upset the McCain camp was at this. I mean we always knew McCain had a short fuse with reporters, and I suppose its understandable given how they are today and all...but she was doing her job.
I don't even -like- CNN, but I'm going to be mad if they fire her.
Perhaps the guy sent to talk to her shoulda brushed up on more he needed to know before he went on air? I mean if you don't know the answers, just say "I don't know"...don't go off on a tangent on kinda unrelated topics to try to dodge the question, and later decide to throw a hissy fit.
Anyway, thoughts guys?

I read the article and watched the video, but my biggest enjoyment was the comments, you should go back and read them lol. My favorite was number seven.

I personally agreed the most with comment 53 =D
Actually, half the reason I read ThinkProgress is the sassy and fiery comments ^_^ no shy-ness there, heh.

CNN is not going to fire her. She was doing her job. McCain's representative didn't do his job so well, did he? He just did not know the specifics; and he should have.
So we have a potential President of the United States who gets mad because a journalist made his rep look like the uninformed person he was. He decides to take his toys and go home, refusing to play with CNN anymore. lol Sounds like dementia to me. Scary. Very scary!

He didn't know the specifics because all they study are the Republican Party talking points.
If they can't shout you down, then they have no other option.
It just shows how brittle their positions are. And it looks as if everything is about to crumble.
I'd be embarrassed if Barack Obama was running such a horrible campaign.

Lol, I agree Cheryl.
That famous temper of his. I confess, it does remind me of a spoiled little boy who..just 'cause he doesn't get his way throws a tantrum and refuses to talk to you anymore.

It's obvious that this guy isn't qualified to be a McCain spokesman. Just another bad decision made by John McCain.
Cambell Brown's questions did not cross any line. All the spokesman had to do was to answer her questions. He couldn't do it because he knows nothing other than Republican talking points.
"Barack this, Barack that, Obama this, Obama that".
The McCain campaign appears very sensitive. Maybe he should only do interviews with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
Who wants to be "grilled" by the notorius, hard hitting Larry King?
It appears that the "straight talker" has lost his voice. And we all know why.

Here's another example of a Right Winger being smacked down.
This is just amazing. You have to watch this.

Are you sure he lost his voice or was that a slip and it should have been mind? I can't believe all the garbage going around about Obama when McCain keeps showing complete lack of judgement.

He may be loosing it. I don't know who is running this disfuctional campaign.
It shows a lack of leadership from the top. And I fear this is how it would be if John McCain would ever be elected.
Let's face it. He's just not up to the task.

She proves nothing at all, because he has no exact knowledge of an example of a Governor acting in the capacity of Commander in Chief of the National Guard in their state. The point he was simply making is that it's a fact that the Govenor has that role, her question is moot and makes her look like an ignorant fool.

Um...I didn't say that her questions proved anything...and I wouldn't say it made her look like a fool, she just wondered something -- if he'd answered, it probably would've been pretty beneficial.
Anyway, I guess it's all a matter of opinion.
