Nights ago between mylotting and watching the news, I think I heard that Pacman is about to quit boxing and concentrate on politics. Do you think he will really quit? Is he serious on politics?

I think the result of his upcoming fight with Dela Hoya would really make him consider the retirement idea. Beside from the huge amount of money he could get from this fight (where he can retired leisurely with this), the result of the fight would really determine his aspect in the boxing ring, whether to continue or not. Regarding about his political ambition, I really think that he is very serious about this. His plan to continue his study and took up Political Science tells how he is very much determined to be a politician.

Excuse me for the word but I would say Pacquiao is stupid in his desire to join the politics. He did not notice that the politicians are only using him because he has so much money and fame. He can always help his constituents if he really wants to help in another way. He can always open a business and employ them and give them good pay. But for him to enter the political arena when he does not even have enough educational background, I would say it is stupidity. I agree however, with his desire to retire after his dela Hoya bout. He has more than enough money and it is better to retire while strong so he can devote his time to his family and other productive endeavor. But politics... no way!

but he is taking up some college degree or some business related certificate, hmm maybe that is the reason why he got serious with studying. He is actually preparing for the election. well we cannot blame him, it is his backer that convinced him I guess.

well i think its just about the right time for him to respond to it; he really does need to be able to retire while he is still healthy, boxers suffer when they let their body take on all the punches, you know...

I also heard him say that on national tv. I think it's just alright for him to stop boxing. I mean, he already a lot for the future of his family and the whole clan I guess. It's about time to give chance to others.

Well, retiring in boxing is a very good idea but entering in politics I guess that's not a good idea. The question is "what does he knows about politics"? I know that any natural born citizen and at least high school graduate can be qualified as a politician, but they should think it many times because they will handle to problem of the society. We are paying tax and vat but in return, those politicians are not doing their job. If pacquiao will be in politics, that's a big "laugh" for me.sorry...... I think pacquiao wants to enter politics because he was pushed by many politicians who are willing to campaign for him and also you know who will benefit on his candidacy.

that is true, those politicians thought that since pacman is famous, he is a plus in their party.
