I am the type of person that likes to shop when I get upset. Some people eat, drink alcohol, etc...For some odd reason shopping makes me feel better. I guess I occupy my time with the new things and don't think about my problems. Does anyone else do this?

That is not something I always think about when I am upset, I will usualy put on some calming music and take a nice nap or something. I do enjoy myself when shopping and have lots of fun at it when I am finding what it is I am lookign for. I might try it sometime when I am upset and see how well it helps.

I can relate to you, I had that thing as well.. shopping made me happy and whenever I would buy what I wanted I always wanted more... and it all ended when my daughter was brought into my life still about the same thing I shop but just not for me anymore but for clothes, shoes, accessories, toys, and everything that deals with her. It distresses me in some weird form.

I actually read that it is one of the things people do for stress. It isn't something to cure it... It is actually a symptom! I was shocked! But finally, I have an answer for my shopping addiction. Now when my husband complains I tell him it's not my fault. Its a symptom of my stressful life. lol
