I have been having terrible heel pain with my gym shoes at work and one of the girls suggested that I try getting a pair of crocs since it wouldn't put pressure on the back of my heel where it hurts. Do you think name brand Crocs are worth the extra money or are the generic ones from Payless or Target just as good?

Well, I look at it this way... I am Diabetic. I have been told to stay away from the Generics of Crocs, and they actually are not as comfortable from what I hear as well. Personally, since I bought my first pair of Crocs, I prefer the real thing, and they are guaranteed to last as well. If you go to http://www.crocs.com you will see all of the different types of shoes Croc has and styles and colors as well. I was amazed there are actually so many different kinds to choose from.

I would definitely go for the real Crocs. The croslite material that crocs are made of is antimicrobial, bacteriostatic, and odor-resistant. Generic Crocs are not made of the same material and they can make your feet stink and harbor bacteria. Also, it seems like the generic Crocs are not as squishy as real Crocs, so I don't think they would mold to your feet as well...if at all.
