My daughter is 14 months old and she is already being picky about what she eats. When she was on baby food she loved EVERYTHING. Now I can only get her to eat veggies if there mixed in mashed potatos or if I break down and give her baby food again. I dont know what to do. I dont want to force her to eat because I know that will just make her hate it more. But I dont want to keep trying things and wasting food. I dont know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?

Are you sre she likes the taste of the food that she eats. Try changing the taste, either make it salty, sweet or spicy. My son is 15 months old and he only eats food if they are spicy so try changing the tast and see if she eats the food. Food for them gets monotous the same way it gets for us!

Thanks for the advice. I have tried the salty, it worked for a bit but then she got bored I guess. I will try the others though I never thought of the sweet or spicy.

So tonight I tried salt and pepper on her food and she loved it so hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks so much

I think it is normal for a lot of children to not like veggies that much. I guess the best thing to do is to cook foods that they actually like and trick them by incorporating veggies in these meals in a sneaky way. Some healthy options do taste good you just have to find the right ingredients and recipe.
