cursing

you know i say my curse words but i despise the gd word am i the only one

No, you're not the only one. I was always taught that when I say that I am directly asking God to curse the thing I said it at. I couldn't bear to be the reason anything gets cursed, so I don't say that word for that reason.

I think you are fairly normal...probably a bit religious and there's nothing wrong with that. I curse when angry only...when it fits the time and place. I find some of the language used by young people today to be moronic. When every third word is a curse word, everything you say loses its meaning. Using them once in a while for emphasis is fine...show you aren't an idiot with a 20 word vocabulary. As far as what you call the "gd word," it doesn't bother me in the least but then I'm an atheist.

I do, to. I guess because I've always been taught you shouldn't use the Lord's name in vain. And, while I still slip up and say 'God' or 'Oh my God' - I rarely use GD. A couple times, it's slipped out, but, I just feel terrible using it.

i have only auctually let iot slip out once and then beat myself up for it i couldnt believe i had done that and i hate when people say it in front of me but thenn i think what if im saying something they donyt like

yeah i hate that word do can't stand it when people say it around me, i don't say it i have slipped up before and felt awful just asking for forgiveness because i was taught never to use gods name in vain
