however, potassium in bananas is in very small amount thus not affecting us in a radioactive manner but it is a mineral needed for the body...

who said potassium is radioactive? I have never heard about that. Potassium is highly necessary for maintaining the proper osmosis of the body as well as circulation, in addition to that, potassium is needed for brain development as well, potassium in its chloride form is available everywhere, including in common salt. regards

rerowland.com/K40.html this website is one of the few sources that tells potassium is a radioactive element. comapred to uranium 235 or 238, potassium is far less radioactive compared to the two.
