When I was in school my teacher tell as about ghost or gdisk. He said it can copy the entire Harddisk in each computer. It is very useful when a network of computer get infected by a viruses. Instead of reformatting each PC you only need to format one PC and the rest just use the gdisk. You save time and effort for doing this. When copying harddisk to harddisk the hardware of computer must be the same. Aside for what I said. What else do you think gdisk can do? When copying, what is the harddisk to harddisk step by step procedure?
