How often do you vacuum?

Every other day, but I sweep the floors every day. I live in the country and we have creepy crawlers everywhere if I don't keep on top of them. It's not so bad in the winter when they seem to hibernate during the cold weather, but spring, summer and fall are a bummer. Besides, I have a hubs who refuses to remove his shoes and tramps bits and pieces all through the house at least a dozen times a day! LOL I don't have a cat, but for sure I would be vacuuming every day if I did. Animal hair is a magnet for dust and other things.

Our home has no carpets so the occasion for using the vacuum is very rare. We use the old method of cleaning the floors using a straw broom and some rags. I know is seems to be lot of work, but if the whole family is involved and some good tunes are playing then I assure you its a fun activity. :) We even make it a game sometimes. LOL I know I have a strange family routine but nonetheless it works for me.

Well if I say that I have four children, husband, two cats and other children coming in and out, its more than once every other week!! LOL More like twice a day. I have taught the children to use the hoover as well so its not always down to me to do the vacuuming. Husband is good with the hoover as well.
