Back to school

My children went back to school today.
I couldn't help see how all the other children had shot up in height and also looked so grown up. My son is in Year 6 (last year at primary school). I remeber all his friends being so tiny and babylike.
Next week the four year olds start school, they will look like babies and like they should still be in nappies!!! I shall be be so broody!!!

I noticed that a lot of them had grown, I also noticed how small the children looked that went into my sons old year, and how big he looked compared to them lined up in his new class. I don't see them grow until I compare them with others. I have one little one left at home now, she will start school part time next september, I shall be treasuring every minute of it because it will soon come around.

My kids too went back to school today and one of my sons started at junior school wearing a new uniform, well a different jumper, and he looked all grown up too. Even when I saw my friends daughter who also started the junior's today the first thing I said to her was how grown up she looked. I had only seen her two days prior! It's funny how the colour of a jumper can make all the difference!!

Don't be broody Anne18. Just think of all the free time you will have to yourself. Ok, so you will miss the children and for the first week or so the house will seem so empty. But just think!! You will be able to tidy all their rooms and put all of their belongings into their prospective storage places and your children will love coming home to their nice tidy rooms...I wonder!

My son started 1st grade yesterday and even though he and I were excited, I'm glad I have some time to myself for a few hours a day :)
