Not so long ago, we need not to have cellphone, which makes me really wonder how the people survived years before. I do own a cellphone, and I like having one. I use it as a means of communication with the outside world. There were times when there's no signal, but it doesn't affect me at all. Other people really freak out whenever they can't find their phone or if they can't find a signal. Other people can't survive if they don't have their phone for a day or more...Their day will really be ruined because of their mobile phone..These thoughts really made me wonder, what's with a phone anyway? Can you survive without a phone? Why?

this is an facility to use as means of communication in emergency. I use my mobile phone when it is emergent requirement. Other wise I use my land line phone at home and office. Now a days people keeps the mobile as status symbol and some use it as a fun to.

Yes, it's true our cell phones are really of big help during emergency situations...^^ It can also diminish our boredom during the moments that we don't have anything to do..^^

I guess we all can say that just about everything... How did we survive when there were no cars? How about bikes, computers, t.v.s, credit cards, air-conditioners, shoes, pencils, pens, 3 ring binders, desks, chairs, folks, knives, spoons, dish, cups, etc, etc... No matter how small or big, everything serves their purpose & we've come to depend on them so much that we don't even think about it anymore... I think cell. phone's the same way... Going from smoke signal to a guy on a horse delivering message to writting letters to emails to land lines to cell. phones... We have become custom to using something long enough, we feel funny without them... I'm sure I can survive without cell. phone just like I can survive without computers & fax machines & cars & t.v.s & even electricity... It's just that I don't know if I'm willing to be inconvinienced...

In my opinion, the phone is a very necessary thing for people to communicate with loved ones. Unfortunately, this is also bad effects. Phone gives high magnetic waves. Probably not once holding the phone against the ear pain and headache ear... In my opinion, better to have the phone and transmit the information to someone in a few seconds, than to wait for weeks to send post mails.
