Yes, it is true.
Given there is only so much ice in the world, and that more of that ice is in the Artic, what will the bartenders of the civilized world do to keep their patrons happy? Don't laugh, this is a serious problem as you can see from this article.

I say that more ice in the Artic is some of the funniest news I've heard in awhile.
What do you say?

But The Goreacle told us the Arctic was MELTING! Man global warming was supposed to have us all wading waste deep by now... could it have all been a big hoax?
The polar bears were drowning, the MSM told us so... and islands were disappearing by the dozens.
I think the man made global warming hysteria crowd had better think up something quick, before the natives come for them with blazing torches and pitchforks.

I have some bad news for the man made global warming crowd. It has occurred to me that enough data exists to mathematically separate the amount of temperature change due to man made from natural. I can think of only one reason such a study has not been published or is not well known if already published. The results would almost for sure show the amount of temperature change due to man is miniscule.

Actually , I think we have a much bigger problem that most adults have overlooked.
The Artic IS slowly melting more and more whether we like that fact or not. Two major "ice shelves" broke off yesterday - one was 19 square MILES and ht eother was only slightly smaller. The massive glaciers in Greenland have major faults and crevasses appearing and spreading; is is only a matter of time before they fal apart and float away to warmer waters where they will melt.
Sometime in the near future, there will actually come a summer day when ALL the ice in the Arctic is melted. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SANTA CLAUS, THE NORTH POLE, HIS REINDEER, AND THE ELVES????? Will Santa die? Will he move; and, if so, where to? How we we explain this to the children of the world??
We can make ice in our freezers; but, we can't just make a whole new Santa. How will we face our children and grandchildren and tell them that Santa sank to the bottom of the ocean?

Well you have to ice to make a Scotch on the rocks, but what other adult beverage needs ice? I really do not know, I am not trying to be a smart Alice, just do not drink much that would require ice.
So if ice is growing back does that mean global warming has ended? William Chapman the researcher said that the Arctic was "definitely colder." Sound like the Arctic was definitely colder, and last time I check colder is the opposite of warmer, right? So if I put two and two together it sounds like global warming has ceased.

In the strictest sense of the word, global warming has not stopped. The current cooling, even it lasts for 20 years is only significant to our life times. In terms of the geological record it is naught but an eye blink and the longer term warming trend continues. Man just has little to do with it.
