I just had my second son three weeks ago and I am so exhausted. It seems like he can sleep for hours straight when I am awake but when i try to sleep he wakes up every hour. Between no sleep and trying to cook, clean, study , take care of the baby, and still spend time with my four year old son I just feel like I will never have everything done.

I feel so bad for you...you are in New Mom He11! The first couple of months are pretty rough, especially when you have a big brother/sister to take care of, too. Is there any way that you can get some help for a few hours each day so that you could take a nap or at least have a little bit less to do? You could also try keeping the baby awake as much as possible during the day. I know...you have so much to do while the baby is asleep but you need to look at what's best for your health and your sanity. So, your house is a little less clean, so your family eats more sandwiches and take out for dinner...at least you'll have more energy if you can sleep at night. Good luck.

No. Unfortunately I dont have any one to help. My husband works 13 plus hours a day seven days a week. So when he comes home he is also exhausted. Thanks for the advice.

I'd wake that baby up. He needs to adjust to your hours, not vice versa. Try getting one of those baby slings, you wear on your back or chest, and see if having him hanging around while you're being active keeps him awake more. I hope you find something that allows you to get some rest.
