A few days ago,I was having problems with my computer. It was getting viruses from somewhere and even with Windows Defender, they would come back a few days later.I decided to download another anti-virus.After I ran the new anti-virus,I couldn't get anything to come up.I decided to use System Recovery.I had to use HP's because I couldn't go to the windows one.My computer is working fine except for one problem. When I try to download a P2P program and a couple of other programs that were on my computer before,It won't let me. What can I do to solve this problem. If anyone can help me I'd very much appreciate it.

hello friend first of all as the other friend said, Ares make a lot of troubles to your computer and it's open a lot of ports which can be used by different worms and virus's. try to download Limewiore it's more safe in my eyes, see also if avast stop the ports to open, check the Firewall inside and the windoiws Firewall. Goodluck.

Eh... I wouldn't suggest Limewire. A friend of mine got Vundo by downloading something with Limewire. Took me 2 weeks to get Vundo completely removed.

the easiest way is to reformat your pc and clean install windows and other applications.. free versions of anti-virus is not a good protection against security threats so try to invest on a good software: try "eset nod32 ss" or "mcafee 12in1" (but if you are on a tight budget, try avast! and pctools threatfire.. eset default setting are strict and will not allow you surf in" "danger" sites and even block your p2p software.. (that's why i chose mcafee, my utorrent wont work with eset.. then install only one p2p software.. try utorrent or vuze.. installing more than one p2p software can make the configuration go bad.. one will work fast and the other slow.. (this is my experience when i installed both utorrent and vuze at same pc).. before i use "bearshare" and later "ares".. i got so many virus so i went for utorrent and vuze..

P2P programs can make your computer vulnerable to attacks. Are you running winxp sp2? Have your firewall enabled. I'm using limewire and bit torrent, and my anti-virus is avast. I don't seem to have that problem.
