Do you have a degenerative disk in your back? I found out I have one in my upper back/neck. It hurts. The Dr said I have arthritis. My husband is good about giving me a message when I'm in pain and it helps some. What else relieves the pain? Would heat or ice be better? Any creams that help?

I have a degenerative disk. You really should watch what activities you do. Did you know that vacuuming is very hard on you? My doctor also recommended that I watch the bicycle riding. Lifting is hard on you, etc, etc. Until you know what it is that you react to, you should really be careful. Muscle relaxants also help. My doctor said not to even think about surgery, because most likely I would end up in a wheel chair. Once in awhile it acts up, but I am pretty well pain free now since I changed jobs and have a desk job. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, vacumning does seem to make it worse. I haven't done the exercise bike in awhile. I would never want surgery on my back or neck. That would be too dangerous. Take care.
