Headphone care?

How do you properly take care of headphones? I usually buy the cheap 10 dollar headphones, but after about 3-4 months the right side dies, and then the left. They always die too quickly, I go through at least 3 pairs in 6 months...Any tips?

Hi Scarface, I do take proper care of my headphones. Earlier I used to buy the cheap ones and they were not long lasting, so I moved on to the Sony Headphone. They are stylish, powerful and cool. They have not been deprived of their performance in 6 months even though my family uses them at least 2 hours a day. The only thing that has happened to them is their Left and Right indicators have been wiped off. But that is not a big problem since the Left earlobe is very small as compared to the right one. You should buy Sony Earphones or Headphones, they might seem costly, but once you hear the quality of sound, you will fall in love with them. They might come with a 1 year warranty and they have different style Earphones and Headphones to suit your need. You can check out your local Sony website to get information on the variety and prices. Cheers! AJ Rox.
