Do You Ever Go Back?

I went back to some of my old discussions tonight and found some comments which were added to other comments. I plan to make that a habit from now on. After you start a discussion and have read the responses, how many of us go back and read comments which were made over a period of time as additions, maybe by other people? I discovered a lot of new information after I thought the discussion had run it's course. These are not listed usually as more responses.

Also, if you want to see the discussions you have responded to, Go to your profile, look down after "edit my profile" and find "Discussions I have responded to."

I just did that very thing earlier today, well, sort of. I received a response to a discussion I posted 4 months ago. While answering that response, I noticed that I had received other responses to responses to responses (????) that had been written 3 or 4 months ago! Yeah, you heard me right. I posted a discussion, got a response, responded to that response which was responded to, again. I think that's what you were saying here. I'm not sure since it's getting late and I'm tired. It's a shame that we miss so much! Unless we go back and look them over, we'll never know. After being here awhile and posting hundreds of discussions (no, I'm not up to that amount yet!) I couldn't imagine going through every older discussion to check them. I just don't have the time or energy. Maybe it would be a good thing to do on days when we don't feel like reading new discussions, or if our brains are nearly fried from being on myLot all day. Of course, our answers would most likely not make much sense if the latter was the case. I hope all is well for you guys down there in FL. When are you heading back? You DO know that Hannah is supposed to hit our area sometime on Friday, don't you? It looks like the majority of the rain and wind we'll get will take place on Friday night and early Saturday morning. At least that "triple storm" thing that was predicted earlier has fizzled out and we won't see any raim from Gustav until around Tuesday of next week. Take care and have a safe trip home!

Thanks for the response mentalward. I know it is a lot of trouble but I feel like I owe it to the people who responded to at least look at what they wrote. As far as the weather here is concerned, I sent you a PM if you haven't discovered it already.

If you make it a point to do it as often as you can you will be able to keep up. Keep up the job.

I do this about once a week. I discovered it by accident also. That's when I found out I'm not always notified when someone post a comment on one of my discussions. I always worry the person thinks I'm ignoring them!

I've started doing this more often. Those people deserve a response from us as well.
