My fiance asked me last night if I would cook breakfast for him in the morning. So I said sure. He told me he was joking around, but I know that he really wants it. So I'm deciding to stay up, becasue he gets up at 4:45 am. To go to work. SO I will have to start breakfast at 4ish. I don't really mind it because he is the only one who works, and he works 12 hour days. Does anyone else have to wake up early to cook breakfast? What is your usual breakfast routine? Do you have special breakfast days?

Hi,
I think it's great that you are going to fix him breakfast. Maybe you could make it more special by saying you will do it every Friday (or pick a day). And, I'm assuming he means a real breakfast, not cold cerial.
Here's some ideas so you can make it different every Friday. It will be a surprise for him every time.
Scramble - this is kind of fun. Usually I fry bacon or sausage (or ham). Then I cut it up into smaller pieces. I cook a potato in the microwave oven and then peel and slice it and brown it in the frying pan and add chopped onion and bell pepper if you like it. You can add any left over vegetables in the frig, as well. When the meat and potato mixture is done I add a couple of eggs, beaten. And flip them over every once in a while. When the eggs are done, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and serve with toast, english muffin or a hot buttered tortilla.
French toast is always good. My husband likes a little cinnamon sprinkled on top while it's cooking. You can serve bacon and a bowl of fresh fruit with it.
Pancakes are fun, especially if you add chocolate chips or white chocolate chips. Add a couple of breakfast sausages and it's great.
Eggs/ham and potatos are a staple. And you can do the potato like above

That is a really good idea..I never thought about that. I think it would be a real surprise to him to have breakfast at one time of the week. And to shake it up to different meals each week, would be pretty neat. Thanks for the input, and I am defiantly going to try that.

The only time breakfast ever gets COOKED around here is on the weekends and it is usually around 9 am by the time I get that on the table. My son normally has cereal or yogurt during the week before school. Same with the baby unless I cook her and egg.
