If you could donate a large-sum of money to a worthy cause or charity, what would you choose? I think I would focus more on Education. I believe that quality education is very important. Once this is established, many other social problems can be solved. I think that this is the main root of all. If I would donate a big amount of money, I would put up a school here in our city where everything is free. The students will not pay a single dime but they will still receive quality education that everyone deserves and gets.

I guess I will put up a big business where I will employ people who are financially handicap so that they could send their children to school afford hospital bills and several benefits of life. At the same time the business is earning employement will rise and the large amount of money will continue to grow and continue the benefits. I believe that giving the large amount of money to several charity institution is a one time offer but if you put it in my idea the large amount of money will grow continuesly more and more will enjoy and benefit from it.

i will go for health... i will build a hospital for patients suffering from cancer and subsidised in their medicine bills because the price of the medicine to cure cancer is still so expensive... health is very important for me and i am very sad every time i see sick people lying in the hospital... they look so helpless and hopeless... take care and have a nice day...

I accept that donating is a good cause.....but do u think it will help the million needy people if u give it to promote education(free of cost) of to homeless or to the beggars or whatever other people say..... See these problems can fully be solved by eliminating corruption and unemployment.... which i am sorry to say can't be removed if Bill Gates also dnate his 51 billion amount for the cause.... But if we donate the large-amt that we get to provide a employment o a small scale it will be beneficial as it will reduce poverty, homeless people, people dying bcoz of food and for sure the unemployment......... My views may be absurd to u but think about them deeply and let me know what u feel

Yes, I agree with you. I also donate large-sum of money in education. Education is a never ending process and I think the highest goal one should attain. In my country, education is very expensive, and that those who are determined to finish a degree only make it to the top (this includes those who work to finance their study and those who are financially supported). I myself is a product of both a working student and a financially supported by my parents. The reason I am a working student its because their are three of us that goes to college. So I think, I should invest my money in an education where everyone can go to school for free.

If I could donate a large amount of money to a worthy cause it would have to be cancer support. There is so much that cancer research could do, but the funds are starting to dwindle. The American Cancer Society does so much for cancer patients that I would like to be able to give back to them.

If I ever being given the chance by God that I have huge with many zeros bank balance in my bank account then I shall help in construction of a hospital where all medicine will be free and no fees will be charged from doctors. You are right that if there are educated people, then the society sure will change but what about society is educated and having medical problems. As you already know, doctors are just like butchers, demading so much money because they are consultants, surgeons and their fees is so high that poor people can't afford. This doesn't mean your cause of spending your huge money is wrong, school of thoughts my friend, everyone will have his own feelings and thoughts.

Hi tidgea, your idea is wonderful, and I hope you make it to building that school one day. I would also invest in helping the poor through education, since it is the root cause of all the poverty, overpopulation and other disastrous phenomenons on Earth. If we can somehow educate the poor, and increase our job opportunities, we can make it to a perfect independent population. But the first hindrance that comes is Child Labor. Many people are not willing to send their children to school just because they want them to work and add for the family income, rather than decreasing it. So it seems that your idea of a free school might come into play. But that would throw a financial crisis on us, so we need to find better, cheap and easy ways to educate children. Once they get proper education and knowledge, they will be perfect for a job placement. But where will the jobs come from? So we need to build such an infrastructure which is highly profitable and requires more and more qualified workers. It is the most difficult objective so far that has lead to educated unemployment. Once we increase the job opportunities, slowly more and more people will get into the virtuous circle of money by investing something like nothing on their child. It would lead to a better and more developed country. I hope it does comes true someday. Cheers! AJ Rox.

And people who has been suffering from cancer.

If i were given a chance to donate i would choose to donate institution that cares for street children. I believe that there are a lot of kids out there who deserved a shelter and a better life. This kids should be given attention and love. They might not have the chance to experience love from their bioligical parents but at least they will feel love from those people who are willing to reach out and help them. They are also part of the society so saving them would also save every community from crimes that this kids might commit inorder for them to survived. This kids deserved to be given a chance to have a normal life like any other kids have. So if I have the money to donate i will definitely help those institution that helps these street kids.

I would donate to a mission that houses and feeds the homeless. I was stranded once and was forced to take refuge in a mission. They gave me food and shelter and all they asked in return was my time in listening to a short sermon. I have never forgotten the generosity of that place or the people I met in the few days I spent there. It was an education for me, I came away with a new perspective on homeless people

The education system here in my country is very good and so I think there is no real need for me to donate to furthering the education here as the government has done a relatively good job. There are plenty of schools here and there is a law that all children are required to have basic education. Plenty of scholarships and bursaries are available to children of needy families. So I will not donate to education in my country. But I may go out to other poorer countries in the region and offer the children education. I will buy books, stationary and maybe even build a school for them. I will hire teachers who are experienced and know what is best for the children. Children are our next generation and they should receive good and quality education. Just my 0.2 cents.
