because i do, my son is a year and two months, and every time we play, we used to sing many nursery rhymes. I mean i would sing and he would act out what i am singing, his favorites are itsy bitsy spider (he would crawl his little fingers in his arm just like a spider), rain rain go away, twinkle twinkle (wherein he would close and open his fingers). Isnt it nice seeing your child learning everything you teaches them? they are very cute and very smart for they pick and learned their lessons soon after you teach them. HAppy day!

i sing to svet ABC. it's the only tune she recognizes so far, because she perks up every time she hears it

My daughter is 4 1/2 now. We still sing nursery rhymes and other common childhood songs, but she has moved on to liking Laurie Berkner. Lol, I hate to admit this, but when my daughter was younger I had to look up the words to many common songs, I couldn't remember what they were.

I sing all the time with my 2 little girls. My oldest who is almost 3 loves to do teh same thing as your son with the Itsy Bitsy spider and twinkle twinkle! I try to teach my kids lots of things while they are younger because they are sponges & absorb everything that we can teach them!

I sing a lot to my 8 month old. Not only do I sing nursery rhymes, but I also make up little songs to include her name, or what we are doing at the time. She just laughs and smiles. She also has her own song, when she is really tired she humms to herself and then falls asleep. It is so adorable, I can't wait until she sings along with me.
