Have you tried Ilokano dishes? They are dishes from the Northern part of the Philippines, the Ilocandia Region/part. Some dishes such as pinapaitan/papaitan, pakbet/pinakbet,adobong sitaw/string beans adobo, diningding(vegetable dish usually with green leafy vegetables and bamboo shoots). It doesn't look too interesting to eat but it tastes great I assure you. Have you tried any Philippine dish/food that caught your taste or became one of your favorites?

My mom's family is from Bicol. I have been raised with ginataang whatever on the table. During my younger days, I really don't enjoy them. But now that I have already tasted delicacies from other part of the Phils., I would say that Bicolano dishes are the best....be it laing, tinuktok or bicol express...Nothing compares to Bicolano dishes.
