do you usually respond to? Those that are easy to respond to and that you need not think hard? Or those that stir critical thinking?
Do you choose questions that are answerable by yes or no and do not bother to elaborate? Or do you answer yes or no then elaborate?
I am attracted to discussions that stir critical thinking. Such discussions challenge me to think hard. However, there are times when I choose simple discussions and/or simple questions because I do not have much time to spare for my regular myLot activities.

Hello dolce. Usually I love questions easier to think about although sometimes I also respond to questions that are brain-consuming. There are also times when I was trying to respond to a friend's discussion, which was difficult to respond to. I thought hard and could find anything to type about and talk about. Then I gave it up. In general, I love general discussions that most people can relate to. Thank you.

Well i don't answer all discussions i read. It's because i don't have a answer for those. But i try my best to answer. I don't look for whether it is critical or easy. If i have an answer then i just answer those discussoins.

Hi dolce. I choose both depending the topics. I never responded only yes or no I always elaborate the response because it is stranger to write only yes or no as a reply. If you are talking it is OK but if you come to the discussion it means that you have something to say about the topic. Here we can find good discussions to give a response and stupid ones too AH AH AH! If the discussion is stupid I pass away because it is a waste of time.
Cheers and have a nice day.

I prefer to respond to the writing which has some thing to discuss out of which we can extract some thing and reach some conclusion on the subject matter. I do not like to respond where yes or no is sought. Even in such discussions where yes or no is sought I use to elaborate my thinking on that yes or no.How do you feel of this my point of view.

I think I choose the discussion from the interest that I like. Which the most is mylot and q&a. I also try to respond to all my friends started discussion. But some kind of discussion that I don't know the answer, I won't respond it. after respond it I will try to find in other interest and respond the easy topic.
keep post
happy myLotting...

I basically randomly browse through myLot and open up some of the posts and respond to them. Doesn't matter what type of discussions they are. f I have the ability or knowledge about what the discussion is all about I reply to them.
I like simple discussions and questions when I'm tired and can't use my head to think much, otherwise I like discussions that get me thinking and find them pretty interesting.

I wish there were discussions that stir critical thinking. I find that very few people think at all. They just work from the way they feel and go from there. I tried to start a discussion which would require people to dig deep into their experiences or deeper psychic resources and I found myself with zero responses. Go figure. Cheers!!

I usually respond to the discussion which kinda related to me and very interesting. There are times as well that I do both, I respond to a discussion that stir critical thinking as well as to simple discussions. I did this when I am busy and doing something.

I never chose any topic to respond to as long as i have something to share with it.If i read the topic and i don't have any idea i would not respond to it and go to other discussions that i have something to relate with.

I always go for simple topics in Mylot which I don't need to think much. I have been thinking so much during work,so after work,I like to do something simple and interesting. I often find topics which are really attracted my attention and close to my life. I think it's more fun to respond to discussions which are really related to my life.

Hey dolce, I usually choose to answer discussions that make
me think. I prefer discussions that have a bit of substance
to them. I kind of like to mix it up too. I do enjoy
answering some that are light and funny and sometimes even
silly! I like having a variety to choose from. I simply go
through my emails one by one and start responding to my
friends emails. I try to answer as many as I can unless
it is a subject that really isn't for me to answer. It
is only once in awhile that there is something that I do
have to skip over. I have no children so I don't like to
give advice in that category. I also have no garden so I
may comment, but also won't give advise. So as I said, I
enjoy answering a variety of discussions.

You are much senior than me...passed almost 3300 postings....
..Well , when I was new to my lot , I used to reply each and every discussion , started by my friends..( they were few at that time)Now , I still start by replying to my friends , but not all .Some friend post more than one ( upto 10 ) discussions in one day..And I try to respond at least one of the discussions , started by any individual.
Now , I look around to other discussions of my interest..and as you said ,discussions that need some thinking. But , it all depends on my mood, and time,...and to some extend , how tiered I feel, when I am in front of PC..

I like discussion that can make me think a little but not too hard too. I don't like a yes or now question or a one line discussion that can be answered even without thinking at all. Yeah, sometimes when I have lots of time I would like to see some good discussion about life, the real one, that can make me think and contemplate at once. But it is hard to find such discussion like that here in myLot

Hi dolce_vita78! I do like to respond to discussions that I can relate to, those that are also simple ton answer and those that I find humor in it. There are times that I do respond to discussions that really does not appeal to me just because I it was posted by a mylotter friend. I just want him/her to know that as a friend in his/her list, I will support his/her discussions somehow. But there are times, that I can't respond because I simply can't relate to it nor have any good inputs to share and lately most of the time, I am not logged in. haha..
Take care always..God Bless!

I like discussions that require anything from a small amount of thought to a lot of thought. A good discussion for me will trigger my brain to think on the subject and come up with an interesting answer. At least I hope it is interesting to the poster. I do not like ones that are just yes or no answers.
So I am definitely attracted to the critical thinking variety. I also try and post discussions that require a fair amount of thought which is why I do not post all that many. It takes a bit of thought to come up with a question that will interest people and require more than a yes or no answer.
That is probably why I do not get many responses to the discussions I do post.

Most of the time, I respond to discussions that are simple which do not require a lot of powers to think of an answer. I some times think a lot to give my best response to any discussions that I can relate to. But I do not respond to those answerable only of yes or no. If ever, I don't just give an answer, some more thought will be included.

When getting logged on my first port of call so to speak is the no response section, so many good discussions get left here, but only because the right people who can answer them are not about when they get posted. If anything grabs my eye that I can answer then I answer it. I then look along the pictures at the top. Some days they move quickly so depends how much time I spend going through them back and forth. Then I go what I call window shopping and see what is about to answer. I'll answer anything that grabs my eye and I think I can give a good answer.
I do have targets set for each day and a big target for the end of the week, but I don't worry if I don't meet them.

I believe in real discussions and not questions or answers. I use to make elaborative discussions and responses and expect the same from others. I think it increases our knowledge and experience and make us able to express in a more better way than in a line or two. I know some seniors and matured people have the ability to express their opinion in short even than they have to write some to say what the feel. How do you see it please comment and have a nice day.
