I've had a drivers license in the state of Texas, Kentucky and Louisiana. But Louisiana is the only state (out of those three state) that require you to remove your glasses before taking you picture. Does the state you live in require you to remove your glasses?

I've lived in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland & Virginia. None of those states required you to take your glasses off. The only strange rule to me was you're NOT allowed to smile as they think that changes your appearance. If your eyes are bad enough to require you to wear glasses, you would think they would want you to wear them in your picture. Maybe they think that if you change frames, that it will change your appearance.

Wow! That is really interesting. Thanks for sharing with me. I didn't think about the frames changing appearance though, but you're right!

I have only lived in the state of North Carolina so it is the only state I have ever gotten a drivers license in,and as far as I know you do not have to take your glasses off for your drivers license photo, even though I only have to wear my glasses when I drive so I did not bother wearing my glasses during my photo, but it does say on my license that I have to wear them, and if I do not I get a ticket.

Hey thanks for sharing the information. I think its pretty crabby that Louisiana made me remove my glasses. My eyes are very sensitive to light so when the camera flashed I thought I had gone blind!! Take care my friend and happy mylotting! :)
