Hello all, I ask this question once before but I am still having problems. When I need to use acrobat I get a message saying the adobe reader did not load to try again. Than I will get a message saying the their is not a patch for this . I tried to uninstall adobe so I could re install the program but I get a message saying this cannot be uninstalled. I cannot install a new version over it. I tried restoring the system but it did not help. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't know if this can help, but here you can find the instructions to remove adobe reader 8 manually: http://tinyurl.com/3zsc2p Anyway, if you only use it to read PDF files, I also recommend trying Foxit Reader: http://tinyurl.com/h9wxd It loads very fast and works as good as Adobe Reader, as far as I'm concerned ;)

ya even i recommend FOXIT reader as it loads pretty fast and very stable but only problem with it is ,it doesnt come with free PDf editor,if you edit pdf using it you will get demo signature in your pdf file. but acrobat doesnt do that. but i use FOXIT for most of the time.

ahm, maybe you can try this steps: Restart your computer first. Then go to program files where you installed the adobe acrobat. Then delete that folder. If you can delete that. Then go to control panel then try to uninstall it. If it is work. Then great.

thanks but I will have to wait til later to try this, I have been invited to a grandparent party at my granddaughters day care and this takes precedence over all else lol but I am anxious to get back to this, thanks for all help. I need to figure out how to get more knowledgeable about computers. I love using one and it is frustrating not to know all I need to know.

try this go to you windows folder(usually found in c drive) inside you will find folder named downloaded installations just check for ur acrobat installation file in that. it will be usually .msi extension like acrobat.msi just run that and try to uninstalling acrobat else inside windows folder you will find downloaded program files folder you might find acrobat installation file inside that just check both folder this trick worked for me when same thing happened to me with nero.
