What and Who Is Really Best For America?

It's Septemeber and the vote isn't that far away. Do we really have any good choices this year? Personally, I wanted Hilliary instead of Obama, just because Bill Clinton is her husband. To me he made personal mistakes but they did nothing to harm this Nation, like the last 8 years have. Today I am reading about many political figures making those same kind of mistakes and all they get is a "tsk tsk, you naughty boy". 'Scuse me, but I smell another double standard showing it's nasty little head. This post is to ask for your honest opinions about our choices in this election. This year I will vote totally democrat because I don't think America can take much more of the "Republican Rule". To me, Obama is a man that can "make it happen" if he will. The pressure that our Congress and Senate put on the president make this a job I'd spend all my time "firing" people in. So, how about all of you... Tell me why you feel as you feel about this major issue facing America. Or will it really matter since it sometimes seems like the "electorial vote" is all that counts?

I'm still on that same fence. I'm not comfortable with Palin and, since I live in Florida where we've recently been subjected to drastic state wide budget cuts that have really hurt people, I'm skiddish about each side's plans for the economy. I need to learn more but it seems to me that smaller government equals smaller or more reduced government agencies on the state and local level and that's something Florida can't take any more of. We already have schools without school nurses which doesn't sit well with some parents of diabetic children that I know personally. You shouldn't have to send your ten year old to school with a cell phone and instructions to call 911 if he has a low. I'm concerned about our nation's security, at home and abroad. I'm concerned about the development of alternative fuel sources and how that is managed. I've seen corn and sugar crops diverted to ethanol production, raising prices and increasing our dependence on foreign beet sugar. Last year at this time I could buy 12 ears of corn for $2.00. This evening I saw a *special*...8 ears for $2.00. I'm concerned about many things but I still have time...tick...tick...tick...so these candidates need to start talking specifics and step away from the attacks and rhetoric.

Thanks Clarus. I went to the site and was glad to see everything spelled out like it is. I learned some things I didn't know and also emailed the link to my personal email since I'm at work right now so I keep getting interrupted. Yeah, I know, the nerve of my boss!

Boy, that is a really hard question! Honestly I just don't know. Some things I agree with Obama on and some with McCain. I just don't know if either of them are good for America! I do think that Palin was a good choice for VP, but have not totally made my mind up about Biden or how to vote! Sorry I couldn't be more help~!
