hey guys a friend of mine invites me to join a game in facebook. what type of game is a mob wars? is it cool?

I don't know what mob wars is all about. If you have free time on your hands why not try it? It might be fun. You'll never know unless you try it. Like any other facebook application, you can always delete it if you don't find it fun anymore. I go to facebook to look at pictures only but maybe I'll try to play the games as well some time. :)
