Disaster Movie

Well, this film is out very shortly, and, considering the films that are being lampooned in it - famous disaster movies such as The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, S*x & the City and Juno off the top of my head - I think the only real disaster is the making of the film itself. On the one hand, you have comedies such as Pineapple Express, and on the other you have tripe like this, a bunch of badly connected movie skits that don't really have any connection to the title. It can't really cost that much more to make something decent can it? These films are, according to an interview with a Fox executive that I remember reading, just done to make a quick buck. Now, I've nothing against skits if they're done well, and nothing against a film being commercial, as films cost money to make, and if they don't make it back, more films won't be made, but why can't they actually be good too? It wouldn't surprise me if Pineapple Express cost less and makes more than Disaster Movie.

I watched this movie before and it reminds me a bit of the scary movie franchise but not as funny.

I think there are six people responsible for the Scary Movie franchise, and Disaster Movie and its ilk are done by the two who are totally lacking in comedic talent.

@CaptAlbertWhisker That may have been as popular as when they gunned down Justin Bieber in CSI.
