I used to have an Event Organizing business back in my country. My friends said this kind of thing really suited me best because i really like to plan a lot. I write down and organize dreams, things-to-do, things-to-buy, etc. My notebooks looked pretty much like my homepage and profile page here. Then one day, when the blues hit me, i just began to frantically plan (by writing down) my own funeral. I was not sick nor dying, or something. I just felt the blues, and felt like being confronted by my own mortality. Perhaps it was stress, i had two wedding clients at that time, and planning my son's first birthday four months ahead, and it was the Christmas holidays. It was crazy, so i almost broke down into exhaustion. That made me write down my own funeral/wake plan: White coffin, pink laces and balloons, no flowers, lots of cakes, coffee and wine. Entertainment by my brother's band. Wake should last for a week. Should wear my wedding dress, complete with veil, etc. A video presentation of my life (which i produced and directed) Background music of AVP: Queen's We are the Champion and Bohemian Rhapsody Funeral Song: Amazing Grace (i have improvised into rock), and I'll Be seeing You (sob!) Epitaph: Woman, Wife, Mother, Friend, Child. "I have loved my best, thus lived my best. Now i go, to meet My Best." Attire of all: Anything but White, Black or Pink Post Funeral Party: Poolside, Barbeque, Bossa Nova Music Do you have yours? After i wrote this down, i felt relieved. I have planned well, once again. :)
