Yes, I think so. Nationalilizing health care will mean that we get the same care as some third world countries. We will have many doctors pull out. Not trying to be ugly because I am by no means rich, but it is sickening to see that the person across town who already lives off the government and my taxes will soon be getting the same care as I pay 400 a month for. They can go to charity hospitals in fact they say one of the best hospitals we have around here is our charity hospital. I am not for the national healthcare thing.

i agree with you, its not fair, and the welfare system needs to establish a "give back" program, people who apply for welfare should also be applying to service the community, they should be able to work to pay for welfare, not just sit and recieve it while im working 40 hour weeks,

What a great idea community service! Now that is a good thought. I bet they wouldn't welfare then though. Do you think? That is a excellent idea.

I also am opposed to a national health care plan for Americans. I think it would put an even bigger strain on the limited amount of taxes that are available or would mean higher taxes. I think that something needs to be done in order to help those that can not afford health insurance but I do not think that a National plan is the answer. I have heard complaints from people in other countries about the quality of care and lack of choices they have in other countries that have National plans and how they feel uninvolved in their healthcare choices and decision. That is not what I want for myself. I like being involved in the care I receive and choosing who and where it will be provided by. I also thinks that with the aging of the population that it is not feasable to provide everyone with coverage based on the taxes that we collect now. We would have to raise taxes. Other countries with National plans are currently having this problem. I have seen reports about Japan and how they are having trouble funding their programs. Not sure how true this is but it is understandable that this could happen.

exactly, some wouldnt. i think its a even trade also, its like the money keeps circling to fix the community,hmm...that might mean less homeless too.Hey maybe even few make a career out of serving the community.
